Privacy policy

This policy explains what Warmline collects, why, and your choices. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Have it reviewed by a lawyer before a public launch.

What we collect

Your Google account name, email and picture; the profile you fill in; your resume (PDF/Word) and its text; the jobs you add; contacts you add or import (including your LinkedIn connections export, if you upload it); drafts and follow-up history; payment records from Razorpay (we never see your card or UPI details); and, if you become a referrer, your work email and preferences. We also log each AI step you run (which step, tokens used, cost) and your credit history, to bill fairly and prevent abuse.

Why

Only to help you get referred: tailoring your resume to a job, finding people who can help, drafting messages, sending the ones you approve, and arranging intros with referrers who agree to them. We do not sell or rent your data, and we don't use it to train AI models.

Who sees what

Your data is separated per account. Other users never see your resume, contacts or drafts. When you request an intro, the referrer sees the referral kit you send (name, role, three-line pitch, resume). A referrer's name is shown to you only if they accept.

Service providers

Hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), file storage (Vercel Blob), AI processing of your resume and job text (the model provider configured for the service, e.g. Anthropic), contact data (Explorium), email delivery (Resend), payments (Razorpay) and, if you connect it, Gmail (send-only).

Gmail

If you connect Gmail, Warmline requests send-only access. It can send messages you approve and cannot read your inbox. Disconnect any time in Settings.

People you contact

Anyone who receives a message through Warmline can stop all future messages on our contact page; we keep a hashed record so they are never contacted through Warmline again.

Your rights

Delete your account from Settings at any time: this removes your profile, resume, jobs, contacts, drafts and referrer listing. AI usage logs are kept only as anonymous totals, with nothing linking them to you. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or a correction.
